Faye works as a consultant providing quality and risk management, training and auditing services to health care organisations.
She is a registered nurse and has both a clinical and a management background. She has served on a Crown Health Enterprise Board and currently chairs the BPW International Health Standing Committee.

Angela McLeod - Has been president of UH for the past two years and just been re-elected for another year. She has a background in ethical retailing and newspapers and has just recently moved in her career and is now a Sales Manager with Telecom Directories. Angela has a Bachelor of Agriculture and a post-graduate Diploma in Development Studies and enjoys her lifestyle block along with husband Mac.

Barbara Clarke, BPW Gisborne

Barbara has a professional background in Primary Teaching.
She is involved in a Viticultural farming partnership, just out of Gisborne, with her husband.
Barbara is a member of the Tairawhiti District Health Board and also a Trustee of the Children's Health Camp Foundation's National Board.
She has served as President in the Gisborne club and is very passionate about attracting younger women into BPW, believing that more mature members have many skills to offer young women who are the future of BPW.

Adele is a qualified accountant with experience in Banking, Public Service, national and multi national corporations. She also owned and ran, in partnership with her husband, an outlet of a national retail franchise. Currently Adele, and her husband are marketing a financial education package and doing the investment strategies which they have learnt. Adele has been involved with BPW since 1994 holding several committee positions with both the Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt clubs.

Barbara has 20 years experience in System Development - starting out as a trainee programmer to a senior analyst programmer, a few years as a business analyst and now as a test analyst. Currently Barbara is a systems test analyst for the Ministry of Justice.
Barbara joined BPW in 2002. Barbara has held secretary positions in BPW Wellington, Hutt Valley Jaycee, Avalon Pavilion Trust and Canterbury Junior Chamber. She has also held Bulletin editor positions in BPW Mana and Canterbury Junior Chamber. She also has been Vice President and President in BPW Wellington and Hutt Valley Jaycee. She currently is BPW Mana Vice President.
Barbara is married. She is also very involved in her church - being one of the Family group co-ordinators and a member of the Mission and Community Service committee. She also enjoys the piano which she started to learn two years ago.

For the last 15 years Noeline has worked for Windsor Engineering designing product and running small projects for Filtration systems and Kilns for drying lumber for the Forestry industry. Supervisor and administrator of design team, Involved in design and development of essential manuals for the design office. In April she will move to a new position within the company in a Costing and Systems support role. She has been a Member of BPW Mana Club since 2001, holding a variety of positions. She has served as the Legislation Convenor since 2007 which involves putting together submissions on policy matters and being involved with the parliamentary process.

Coming from a very strong practical and pastoral background (via Nursing and the Anglican Church), Gwendoline runs an educational business. She thrives on working with other motivated people to achieve common goals and to empower other leaders using success strategies for business and Community. She is Chaplain to the Northland Police Force and President of the Whangarei Friendship Force as well as finding time to be a newspaper columnist. She has been involved in BPW for 10 yeas both as a member, a committee member and on the BPW NZ Executive. She has been giving service to BPW Clubs for many years and working through the mentoring programme since 2006.

After farming in partnership with her husband for 31 years Elizabeth and Bruce are moving to Central Otago in May 2008 to set up a contracting business and build a new home. Elizabeth will oversee both the set up of the business and the building of the new home. Elizabeth has been involved in BPW since the Southland club was formed in 2003. She has been the National Secretary for BPW NZ for the last three years and is looking forward to the challenges being project Convener will bring.

Ann is currently a contract Project Co-ordinator with experience of hardware and software deployment in large IT Projects in the government sector.
She is passionate about BPW and with her technical background is anxious that members and clubs can take advantage of modern technology to advertise, communicate and enhance the life of women in BPW through the use of the World Wide Web (www). Ann has been involved in BPW since 2004 as a member and subsequently as Bulletin Editor and Vice-President of BPW Kapiti.

Pauline is married to Geoff and lives in Lower Hutt on the Western Hills with a magnificent view of the harbour, the Hutt Valley and Eastbourne.
Pauline has had many and varied careers including with NZ Railways, 15 years in television in a variety of roles, Chair of the Broadcasting Union and the PSA. Pauline joined Wellington PBW in its heyday with people like Norma Goodman, Rita King, Ria McBride and Olga Collins.
In the early days of being a member of Wellington Club, Pauline served as President and attended her first conference in Masterton. After serving as Chair of various BPW Committees, Pauline rose to be Second Vice President and then First Vice President of BPW NZ. Pauline has attended BPW International Congress at Montreux (the World Golden jubilee), Auckland, the Hague, the Bahamas and Melbourne - either as a delegate or as an official. After the closure of BPW Wellington, Pauline joined the Upper Hutt Club where she is still an active member. Pauline hopes to be able to use her knowledge and talents as Chair of Funding and Sponsorship to gain sponsorship for a variety of BPW events (such as assisting New Zealand in its bid to hold the BPW International Congress in New Zealand in 2014). It is a busy role for Pauline but she thrives in this environment.

Young BPW: Rachael Clarke, BPW Gisborne

Rachael has a degree in Architecture, graduating at the end of 2005 with Honours. She is currently working towards becoming a Registered Architect. Rachael has been a member of Young BPW for the last two years and has recently taken up the role of vice-president for her local club. She is also an avid sportswomen who plays competitive Netball and is training for her first full marathon.

Anita has had extensive experience as a consultant/ manager for small businesses. A period as administrator for a major Auckland property developer in the 1980’s led to her setting up and managing her own property development company in the Bay of Plenty. She is currently the managing director of her own company that operates a farm with kiwifruit and avocado orchards and some dry stock. With no formal qualifications, Anita has learned everything 'on the job' and enjoys the challenges of the entrepreneurial approach where new skills must be researched and applied. She is a firm believer in the value of good mentors and in the adage of having a dream and then working to make it a reality.
She credits BPW with providing opportunities to gain the research, writing, computer, public speaking, diplomacy and other skills that have been essential in her current leadership position.
President’s Associate Joan Bielby, BPW Tamaki

Joan, a qualified pharmacist since 1957, has been married to Ron since 1958. Joan owned and operated Elstree Pharmacy limited until 2005. Since then Joan has acted as a locum pharmacist. Joan has been involved with BPW at local, National and International level. Joan's local BPW Club is BPW Tamaki, joining in 1967 as a founder member and holding a variety of Committee posts over the intervening years. Participation at National level started in 1971 when Joan was elected as 2nd Vice President. Joan was elected as President of BPW NZ in 1975-77. After this Joan chaired the Constitution Committee with the responsibility of rewriting the Constitution and for the first time a Finance Policy and researching the policy since the Federation was formed. Joan was also closely involved with the committee in rewriting the constitution 1990-1991. Joan was made a Life member BPW NZ in 1992. When required, Joan has been Constitution Chair and also Resolutions Chair. Joan has attended all except 2 of the Federation Council meetings or Conferences since her first one in 1969.
Since 1973, Joan has held a number of roles at International level, including acting as Parliamentarian for the 24th Congress in Melbourne, Australia and the 25th Congress in Lucerne, Switzerland. For the period 2005-2008, Joan was Member and Vice Chair of the International Constitution Committee. Joan had attended every Board Meeting and Congress since 1973. The Congress in Vancouver Canada was the only one attended as an observer. At all others Joan was either a delegate for New Zealand or held an International Office.
Joan's interest in women's affairs led her to involvement with the 3rd United Women's Convention in Wellington in 1975, Mid Term Decade for Women's Conference in Copenhagen in 1980 and to be part of the New Zealand Government Delegation to the Forum for NGO's.
In addition to BPW, Joan has been associated with other women's organisations such as Soroptimist International, being awarded Life Membership of Soroptimist International New Zealand North Region in 2008 at their 25th Birthday Celebration. Unifem approached Joan in 1992 to assist in forming a branch of Unifem NZ in Auckland where she served on the Committee until 2004, including 5 years as Treasurer.
In 1993, Joan was asked to join the Committee to arrange to Collect Wool and send to Refugee Bosnian Women living in refugee camps in Croatia.
As well as finding time for all these commitments, Joan was sworn in as a Justice of the Peace of New Zealand in 1995 and found time to align herself with numerous community activities in the area around her business.
In 2008, Joan was awarded the Queen's Service Order in the 2008 New Years Honours.
Product Sales Colleen Brooker, BPW Auckland

Colleen Brooker joined BPW in Hamilton in 1972 then transferred to Auckland. She has held all committee positions in the club and many at New Zealand Federation level including first vice president. Three yearly International meetings have been attended, often as a delegate, since 1984. This networking has given her a broad knowledge of BPW, and issues relating to women in most parts of the world. Colleen was part of a delegation that visited Russia as guest of the Soviet Women's Committee with a view to start up a BPW club in Moscow. She has served as a trustee on the New Zealand Horizons for Women Trust when living in Wellington.
Colleen took on the responsibility for BPW NZ Merchandise 10 years ago and now provides a wide variety of resources for clubs to take advantage of for personal use or for speaker's gifts. Using BPW NZ products is a wonderful way to reinforce the BPW brand.
