Gisborne BPW Christmas 'Amazing Race' - organised by the Young BPWs

Clue Sheet (PDF file 12kb)

Gisborne Young BPWs organised a Christmas Party as an "Amazing Race", which took members all over the City searching for answers to clues.
Members were put in teams of three or four and asked to dress up. Everyone gathered at the normal meeting location and each of the teams were given an instruction and clue sheet and sent on their Merry Way! Judging by the photos afterwards, everyone had a great time driving around. The competitive streak in some members came to the fore!
The event finished off at a "Mystery Destination", the Yacht club where all who participated had a lovely meal and entertainment. Prizes were awarded to the team with the most correct answers. Other prizes included a wooden spoon for the booby prize and a best dressed prize. You can download the Clue sheets used - you may not know the answers (no prizes for web site entries but we will hopefully be able show you the photo answers to questions 14-17 soon) but it may give you inspiration to think of a similar event for your own area. If you have Young BPWs who want to expend some energy, this will give them something to think about. Happy Hunting!

Note for all Clubs - If you have other exciting events involving your members (YoungBPW or not!) you might like to show case one of your successful events and share the occasion with others. Send details to technology@bpwnz@org.nz

Photo montage:
1. The Winners! The Team scoring the highest number of points.
2. Another Team preparing to take on the "amazing Race". The centre 2 ladies are YoungBPW guests who will hopefully join the growing numbers of BPW Gisborne's YoungBPW members within the next couple of months.
3. These ladies won the prize for the Best Dressed. Their Team name was Beautiful Portrait of Women - the initials of which make BPW!
4. The gathering before the big Race - lots of wonderful outfits!

If you are 35 years or under then email youngbpw@bpwnz.org.nz.
