About

BPW Upper Hutt began in late 1986 and still going strong. We support local community projects with our biggest this year of a $6000 grant to the Aotearoa Pop-up Business School. We sought a grant from the Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club to do this and have offered the women who graduated, a complimentary membership. At the moment we have had six budding businesswomen join us at some of our dinner meetings with two expressing interest in being a member.

We are planning a series of events with other local community groups for Suffrage Day and the ten weeks following with a breakfast on 28 November celebrating the day women were first able to exercise their votes.

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Porterhouse Blues. We have fellowship for the first half hour then a dinner, guest speaker followed by a short meeting.
