Women in management ranks get paid as much as 45 per cent less than their male peers, new data from Australia’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency has revealed. The data visualisation showed that even in female-dominated industries the more senior you are, the higher the pay gap.

United States: 1 in 3 women has been sexually assaulted at work
One in three women aged 18 – 34 has been sexually harassed at work according to a Cosmopolitan survey. Harassment at work has taken on many new forms and isn’t always easy to spot. The survey found that some women don’t even realise that the behaviour they are experiencing constitutes sexual harassment.
United States: Gender gaps in journalism classes and newsrooms concern students
Women dominate University of Florida’s journalism school making up almost 75% of students enrolled. Yet, post-school this number does not translate with women being credited with only 36.1% of total bylines or on-camera appearances as anchors or reporters. The gender disparity in journalism is also apparent in topics covered –the greatest gender gap exists in coverage of world politics, and crime and justice.
