Deadline March 5: Sign our petition to end the global gender technology gap

It’s time to flip the script for women and girls leading science and technology innovation globally. Women must be equal participants, leaders, and shapers in an increasingly connected world. Right now, women around the world are too often excluded from the global technology revolution. The result: more inequality, less innovation, and solutions that leave women out.

Take action to demand an equal future for women and girls in science and technology, which will result in a better world for all. Join us and Global Fund for Women to remove barriers to equal access to and control of technology for women and girls worldwide. Sign our petition to end the global gender technology gap by March 5th by calling on governments, regional institutions, and the United Nations to make sure women and girls are at the center of the science and technology revolution.

UN Women has partnered with Global Fund for Women in the IGNITE campaign because we believe that women and girls can #BeTheSpark to transform the world. IGNITE: Women Fueling Science and Technology, a global campaign and media project from Global Fund for Women, explores the roles of science and technology in advancing gender equality. IGNITE features stories of women and girls who are leading and innovating in science, technology, engineering, and math, and highlights the gender gap in technology. In the Imagining the Future video, UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka shares her own hopes for the future. Explore IGNITE to learn more about why technology is a women’s human rights issue and to get inspired by creative women and girls globally to take action.
