VP Issues Update

Looking back on the year, we have continued to make strides speaking on behalf of women in public fora. We've covered topics such as the gender pay gap, sexual violence, technology facilitated gender based violence, hospice funding, vaping, the need for digital access in all schools, and more.

We engaged with the monitoring of New Zealand's human rights progress under mechanisms such as the Universal Periodic Review, Beijing Platform for Action national review, and Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women.

My fellow members on the Issues Taskforce, executive and the Individual Members group have been wonderful sources of support and fun. I've experienced great joy in seeing them thrive in their roles. BPW Aotearoa and BPW International have inspired and informed me.

I am excited to continue this mahi in 2025!

Kind regards,

Siobhan Dilly
