BPW Franklin

BPW Franklin has around 25 members with our most senior BPW Franklin members belonging to the club since its inception in 1984.  Our members come from a diverse range of working backgrounds, however any woman (whether in paid employment or not) is welcome to join the club. The common thread is all of our members are committed to empowering women and advocating on their behalf.

BPW NZ ensures that our voice is unified, informed, and representative. Through a democratic resolution process, clubs and officers propose key issues at our Annual General Meeting. Once debated and passed, these resolutions become official policy — guiding our advocacy, projects, and submissions to government.

Before national conference, BPW Franklin hosts club meetings to discuss upcoming resolutions. These conversations help guide our delegates, ensuring our votes reflect the collective voice of our members.

  • Justice Reform: Promoting alternatives to detention for women prisoners
