BPW Intercontinental Mobility Taskforce

Updated: Jan 26

First BPW Intercontinental Online Meeting | January 22–23, 2026 (NZ time was 23rd 8am)

As part of the organizing team of the BPW Intercontinental Online Meeting, we were honoured to bring together 48 BPW members from around the world for a meaningful intercontinental dialogue, connection, and collaboration. This meeting reflected the true spirit of BPW International:

a global network where women leaders share experiences, strengthen one another, and transform international dialogue into local and regional impact.

A special highlight was the presentation of BPW Nuuk – Greenland, led by Joanna Hutchins, Founding President, Maja Lyberth Vice President 1 and Ellen Scharfe Vice President 2, who shared the vision behind the creation of BPW Greenland and the importance of connecting women from geographically isolated regions to a strong, supportive global network. From Asia to Europe, from the Americas to Africa and Oceania, the discussions reinforced the value of intercontinental cooperation, knowledge exchange, and inclusive leadership across diverse economic, cultural, and social contexts. As organisers, we are proud to see how these meetings:

Strengthen collaboration between BPW clubs worldwide

Give visibility to emerging voices and regions

Foster global solidarity and shared leadership among women

Thank you to all participants, speakers, and BPW leaders who made this meeting a success. Together, we continue building bridges across continents and shaping a more connected, inclusive future for women in leadership.

Some BPW NZ members registered for this and enjoyed the session.

Fiona Evans from BPW Gisborne commented:

I joined the BPW Intercontinental meeting. Coincidentally it was about the new club established in Greenland (planned long before Donald got on the bandwagon!) It was super interesting to hear about the country and the ladies who have worked together to create the club and the challenges they are faced with living in such an isolated place.

This is my 2nd Intercontinental meeting and so far would recommend!

President Janet Gibb⁩ will be able to help if anyone wants to join the next meeting.

We have also received an invitation to the next Intercontinental meeting from BPW International's Gēraldine Crevat, which you should all receive a copy of by email:
