BPW NZ Newsletter article November 2025 - President Janet

Tena koutou katoa

There is so much happening in the up-coming months, so here are a few SAVE THE DATES to add to your diaries.

BPW NZ has pulled together a Leadership Retreat forum, which is an amazing opportunity for current and aspiring leaders to be energised and encouraged. There will be formal and informal sessions, time to reflect and to look forward. It would be amazing to have at least one to two attendees per club. SAVE THE DATE 27-29 March 2026. Face to face opportunities are not as common in our virtual spaces these days, so don’t miss out on adding this to your plans. First in first served – there are limited spaces.

The 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be online. SAVE THE DATE now – Sunday 3rd May 2026. The deadline is looming for accepting resolutions for the AGM – the final date is 1st December. IPP Christine Berridge is the Resolutions Chair. She is also working with members to update the BPW NZ Constitution. The Special General Meeting to vote on this will be Sunday 22nd February 2026 – SAVE THE DATE.

I don’t need to remind you that we are nearing the end of 2025, with family gatherings and summer holidays for many. Women are the ones who tend to juggle the most balls in the air – everyday life, planning to feed family and guests, along with paid work and volunteer commitments. Take a moment to also take some time for yourself. It is important to fuel the mind, body and soul.

‘If the roots of the tree are not watered, the tree will not grow’ ‘Ki te kore nga putake e makukungia e kore te rakau e tupu’.

Ngā mihi nui

Janet
