Tēnā koutou,

On behalf of Te Whare Tiaki Wāhine Refuge, in partnership with The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, we would be deeply honoured if your organisation would join us to celebrate International Human Rights Day and the official launch of the Te Whare Tiaki Training and Community Hub in Porirua.

This event marks the powerful culmination of the global "Orange the World - 16 Days of Activism" campaign which starts on 25th November 2025, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and runs until 10th December 2025, International Human Rights Day.

Event Details:

  • Date: Wednesday 10th December 2025

  • Time: 10:30 am – 1:30 pm (Formal Opening and Keynote Address at 10:30 AM)

  • Venue: Te Whare Tiaki Training and Community Hub, 21b Hartham Place, Porirua City Centre

  • Theme: Orange the World (We encourage wearing anything orange in support of Ending Violence Against Women and Girls.)

As local NGOs, your presence is an affirmation of our shared mission and the critical role we collectively play in advancing human rights and ensuring all members of Porirua's diverse and youthful community can thrive.

We believe that “Ma te kotahitanga e whai kaha ai tātau" — In unity we have strength.
