President's Update

ree

Tena koutou katoa.

We have had a busy year with our BPW work both in Aotearoa New Zealand and Internationally. We celebrate the success achieved as an organization and as individuals.

Nationally - a successful Leadership Forum, a well-attended Virtual AGM, many submissions to select committees, a highly recognized social media campaign, resolutions passed to bolster our policies, representing BPW NZ on other committees and judging Women’s Empowerment Principles Camellia Awards.

Internationally – our New Zealand delegates attending regional meetings and Congress,

accomplished members taking international roles. BPW NZ receiving once again the

International Award for Advocacy and having 4 resolutions passed into BPW International

policy and supporting other Federations worldwide.

A special mention must go to Past NZ President, Carolyn Savage, who has been elected to

the BPW International Executive as Executive Secretary. She also received the highest award

for BPW International – the Dr. Lena Madison Phillips. Also, a special mention to Past NZ

President Vicky Mee who received the 2nd highest award – the International Badge of

Honour. They excelled in their roles: Carolyn as Constitution Chair and Vicky as Resolutions’

Chair. We are extremely proud of their mahi in the international arena.

BPW NZ had our 85th birthday and was joined by BPW Franklin turning 40 while BPW

Doubtless Bay celebrated 20 years.

I wish you all a happy and safe holiday period and look forward to working with you in 2025.

Meri Kirihimete.

I will continue to deliver my highest value through compelling influence.

Nga Mihi nui

President Janet
