Relationships with Aligned Organisations - Rotary

President Janet recently attended the Rotary District 9930 Governor Changeover at the invitation of the incoming District Governor Ken Smith

for 2025-2026 and celebrating the achievements of outgoing District Governor Nick Dangerfield.

Ken Smith takes on the responsibility of a larger area than his local Huntly Club. The region is much larger and like BPW NZ there are challenges in sustainability of membership and encouraging younger members to step into this volunteer space.

Building relationships is one of the key gems within all organisations. It is no less important within the not-for-profit sector. Meeting with members of organisations like Rotary strengthens relationships with those who also have community at heart.

President Janet also attended the Changeover at the Huntly Lions at the local level. At local, regional and national levels we need to build relationships with partners. There will be opportunities to work together on our mahi – which can create more impact whether in the local community or nationally at a government level especially if we are submitting to select committees on issues.
