She Rises: A Karanga Across Aotearoa

From the first light of Tairāwhiti’s shore, where dawn touches wahine souls before all others— she rises. Woven from flax and fire, she carries stories in her bones and mana in her gaze.
Through the misted fields of Waikato, she walks the river path her tūpuna walked— soft-footed, steel-hearted, with dreams louder than silence. She plants justice in the soil, lets equity grow wild and free.
In Otautahi, where quakes once split the land, she rebuilds—not just walls, but ways of being. She is architect of compassion, engineer of change, restoring balance with hands of grace and grit.
Tamaki Makaurau—city of sails, city of push and pull— she stands tall on Sky Tower edges, boardroom floors, grassroots marches. Here, her voice rises in many tongues: te reo, English, strength.
And in the lush arms of Te Tai Tokerau, where ancient kauri whisper her name, she listens. She leads with quiet conviction, braiding care into action, tending whānau, whenua, and hope.
Across Aotearoa, she is not one— but many. ot rising alone, but lifting others as she climbs.
Wāhine toa, wahine mana, wahine aroha— She is the storm and the stillness. She is now. She is us.
