Together We Rise - It's Starting To Feel Real!

America, Australia, Timor-Leste, Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Blenheim and Queenstown... women are already making plans to join us in Gisborne for the BPW New Zealand National Conference 2027. The question is – are you joining us too?

Over the past few months, I’ve spent countless hours working behind the scenes to bring Together We Rise – Women in Business Conference to life, and it’s exciting to finally see the vision starting to become a reality.

When I put my hand up to bring conference to Gisborne, I knew I wanted to create something people would genuinely want to travel for. Something our BPW members would be proud of, our local community would get behind and that would showcase Gisborne to women from across New Zealand and around the world.

I’ve made the bold claim that this will be Gisborne’s largest Women in Business event, so now it’s time to deliver!

The response so far has been incredible. More than 120 women expressed interest in speaking, over 60 formally applied, and we now have speakers and guests preparing to travel nationally and internationally to join us.

Behind every announcement you see, there are meetings, emails, budgets, sponsorship conversations, accommodation planning, catering, programmes, websites and plenty of spreadsheets! We’re working hard to create an experience where every detail comes together.

What excites me most is imagining everyone finally in the same room – long-standing BPW members alongside women discovering BPW for the first time, business owners, professionals, community leaders and students, all bringing different experiences and ideas.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but every ticket sold, flight booked and sponsor confirmed makes it feel a little more real.

So start making your plans, bring your fellow members, invite a friend and help us spread the word.

Gisborne is getting ready. We hope you are too.
