Twinning with Taiwan

Franklin Club responded to enquiries earlier this year from Taoyuan Club (Taiwan) who were hoping to arrange a twinning relationship with a club in Aotearoa in order to share insights and information from the different perspectives of our two countries.

Unfortunately, Sarah Mai was unable to make it to our BPWNZ Conference 25 as she'd hoped, but we continued with progress and Vicky Mee was able to meet with Taoyuan Club and announce our intended partnership over the coming two years.

Vicky really enjoyed speaking with Sarah and Taoyuan have been very generous with gifts to celebrate our new joint venture. We would also like to thank Dr Herlin Chien for her help in forging this connection.

We look forward to sharing information about what are pressing issues for us currently, locally, and how we bring these to the attention of our members and the community, and similarly learning how Taoyuan do the same. I'm sure we'll make fast friends across the seas.
